Meet and mingle over modern Nu Caribbean cuisine with Afro-expressionist wall art alongside a cultured mix of afro-beat and reggae music—and that is just the upstairs. Downstairs, you’ll find a chic and elegant dining room adorned with bold portraits of Lauren Hill and Grace Jones. The food, like the design, is an ode to the first generation Caribbeanite, a montage of cultures overlapping in a foreign space to form a new identity. On the menu, beef patties become beef empanadas, suya shrimp pairs with grits; oxtail is served with hash & eggs alongside griot and pikliz. Each inventive meal brings you an inviting taste of the Caribbean but in an adventurous new medium.
