The Vortex’s coveted reputation as the best burger spot in Atlanta remains undisputed. As soon as you enter the eclectic garage-like pub of colorful beer cans, American miscellanea, motorcycles and skull motifs, you know things are bound to get weird, but in a good way. All the burgers are cooked over a live fire. You can stick with the classics, but we recommend branching out to unique creations like the Zombie Apocalypse (BBQ pulled pork and two over-easy eggs on Texas toast) or the Holy Guacamole (a Tex Mex-inspired burger topped off with a scoop of guacamole). The Vortex is 21 and up, so brace yourself for a night of bawdiness, from the in-house comedy club to the Blow Job shooter (Kahlua topped with whipped cream). Far from the classic American diner, Vortex is in-your-face fun, with turned up flavors to match.
