2 Chix brings a super adorable and girly atmosphere to the brunch scene. They’ve been doing catering and pop-ups for years before setting up a brick and mortar location, so the restaurant combines a fresh attitude with serious culinary expertise. I’ve been by with the girls, and we loved the bake & salt fish sliders, cheesy hash brown bowl, and especially the Waffle Bacon Egg & Cheese! The speciality is definitely classic American brunch, but Trinidadian influences (like that saltfish and bake and plantains) honor the neighborhood. It’s BYOB, but the mocktails are so cute and delicious you might rethink whether you need to bring anything at all. A spacious backyard dining area and front patio makes this the perfect destination for a warm spring or summer day. I can’t wait to go back!
