Grandma’s house got a makeover, but the food didn’t lose its taste! Blvd Bistro preserves traditional flavors of classic soul food. The candied yams, catfish, shrimp and grits (salt no sugar), and did we mention the biscuits?! Them fried chicken biscuit sliders, baby back ribs and mac & cheese are sensational. Founder Chef Carlos planted his Mississippi roots in Harlem when he established Blvd Bistro! But this isn’t just about the food. The ambience is luxe-rustic with wood floors and booths that feel cozy yet exciting. Chef Carlos and his staff walk about the restaurant greeting patrons with southern-like hospitality. Melanated folks dressed casually or in Sunday’s chic gather for good drinks and great music. We were especially impressed with the hand-crafted cocktails and presentations. From the peach moonshine shot to the Sistah’Rita, the drinks will have you feeling nice! Expect hip hop and r&b classics as DJ Peter Monsanto is usually on point, setting Blvd Bistro as the scene for everyone any day of the week.
