Filé is bringing true, authentic New Orleans flavor to downtown NYC. Chef & Owner Eric McCree isn’t one to stay in the kitchen. At the bar, he’ll strike up a conversation while making bespoke gumbo to your exact specifications, right in front of you. If it’s your first time, definitely make that happen, but expect to be impressed by the other entrées when you come back. I love how Filé is making the contemporary food culture their own, like by serving chicken and beignets instead of chicken and waffles.
