Hills Kitchen
A fairly new and very cozy authentic Naija spot, Hills’ has the fresh and savory food that reminds many Nigerians of home serving us classics like jollof, pounded yam, and their savory chicken pepper soup. Its dining area is homey and snug— a simple cafe area that seats about 10-12 patrons at a time, but with food this rich and high quality, we anticipate an upgraded expansion. There are two locations in New York, Hills Kitchen and Hills Place, with both restaurants giving us flavorful rice and soups seasoned with tomatoes, pepper, spinach, and plantains. Patrons love the jollof rice with chicken or goat, and okra soup— served by a patient staff and personalization options to cater to your palate. Whichever you choose, you will appreciate the dish. Complete the package with the delicious zobo drink (hibiscus, with ginger, lime, and cloves).
