Jacob Restaurant is a Harlem staple for buffet-style Southern and Caribbean cuisine. The no-frills restaurant sells fresh and flavorful entrees by the pound (literally). With 35-40 trays of food at your fingertips you’ll be  spoiled for choice, but count on fried and jerk chicken, oxtails, collard greens, fried rice, ribs, and mac n cheese. The seating is cozy and delightfully cluttered, encouraging visitors to tuck themselves away and linger over a big plate of soul food (although we still usually end up grabbing something for the road on our way out).  Also a great option for parties and events—you can make a big group reservation or order catering.
