Lips Cafe
Come alive with a cup of coffee and a side of culture at Lips Cafe, a creative, artsy and Caribbean coffee shop and bar built to satisfy all five senses. Walking in, you’re met with juicy pop art, chill music, and the aroma of freshly roasted specialty blends and designer drinks. Beyond the sips, Lips stands out with a menu that honors the St. Vincentian heritage of co-owners (and mother and son duo) Jamane and Donna Weeks. Our favorite entrees were the bake and saltfish and the mango chicken salad, washed down with a pineapple ginger lemonade. Situated on Nostrand Avenue, this cafe has quickly become a community hub for prolonged day meetings and work sessions while doubling as an exhibition space for local artists. Rich coffee and richer culture seals the deal.
