B Squared masterfully combines an indulgent seafood menu with a speakeasy-like vibe, all accented by a hint of celebrity. The venture is the brainchild of restaurateur Adriane Ferguson and HGTV celebrity designer Mikel Welch. It’s rapidly become known for elevated seafood served with a touch of soul. With satisfying flavors and dishes presented with panache, the restaurant lives up to the high standard set by the Harlem neighborhood. Think classics like fried catfish, baked Oyster Rockefeller (with parmesan cheese, spinach, and breadcrumbs) and pan-seared sea bass.  Happy hour brings an impressive range of gin-, bourbon-, and rum-based cocktails. We loved the Bright Idea (gin, peaflower syrup , lime juice, champagne, cranberry bitters). Their new all-day brunch is also executed in style with elevated classics like pumpkin french toast and chicken under a brick that get all the basics exactly right. Charming yet forceful, B2 has left an indelible mark on Harlem’s restaurant scene as it offers something new while honoring the feel of the neighborhood.
